Want to waive your registration fee and generate more support for Ele’s Place?

Consider collecting pledges!

Let your friends, family and co-workers know that you are participating in Ele’s Race 5k run / walk and that you are raising pledges to help support Ele’s Place, a healing center for grieving children. You can collect pledges online using Firstgiving which will help you send out emails asking for support, or you can use the offline pledge collection form and collect donations. Let everyone know that the money you raise will directly help local children and families coping with the death or life-threatening illness of a family member or friend. You can also earn great prizes if you collect pledges! To get started, follow these steps.

Step 1

Make sure you register for the race if you plan to participate in the 5K run / walk.

If you plan to raise at least $50, you can register for FREE. Make sure you register as an individual and select the option to waive the registration fee.

Step 2

Create a fundraising page on FirstGiving. Click on the "Raise money" button and register to create your own fundraising page.

Step 3

Use your fundraising page to collect donations online. If you'd like to collect donations offline (cash or check), please read the section below about offline pledges.

Offline pledges

You can use the offline pledge form when collecting donations offline (cash or check). You can also enter your total offline pledge amount into your FirstGiving account to track all your pledges online.

Checks should be made payable to Ele's Place

Offline pledges must be turned in at packet pickup on Saturday, July 23 at Playmakers from 12-5pm or on Sunday, July 24 prior to the start of the race.

Tax information

Ele's Place is a non-profit organization and all pledge donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.
