Ele's Place Greater Flint and Genesee County is seeking a part-time (10-15 hr. /wk.) Administrative Assistant to provide clerical support to the Ele's Place Greater Flint and Genesee County staff.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree (preferred)

Essential Job Functions:
  • Greets visitors; answers telephone and refers callers to appropriate staff.
  • Opens and distributes mail; processes donations received per procedures. Processes letters and outgoing mail.
  • Assists with donor and program data entry, as available.
  • Supports the Director in the planning and logistics of events.
  • Assists staff with general clerical needs as required.
  • Provides administrative support to Board and Committee meetings

Ele's Place Ann Arbor is seeking clinicians to serve as support group facilitators in an Adult group in our Bereavement program. Responsible for ensuring an emotionally and physically safe group environment which promotes trust and sharing among group participants.

Education Requirements: A minimum of LLMSW,  LLMFC, LLP, or LLPC state licensure (or equivalent state licensure with a master’s degree in a mental health related field). Experience working with grief and loss strongly preferred. 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide structure and direction to the group process, including beginning each group with an opening circle, and closing with an appropriate closing ritual.
  • In Debriefing, provide a brief overview of group themes and any relevant concerns.
  • Complete Ele’s Place facilitator training.
  • Attend facilitator meetings and facilitator in-service meetings.
  • Maintain professional standards and boundaries; abide by Ele’s Place policies and procedures.
Expectations:
Typical workweek is 3.5 hours one (1) evening per week. Must attend briefing and debriefing meetings each night you are assigned.

Ele's Place Capital Region and Ele's Place Flint are seeking a part-time (20 hr./wk.) Bereavement Coordinator to oversee assigned support group program sessions and related responsibilities. The Bereavement Coordinator will provide guidance, information, and referrals to families and others regarding issues of death, grief, and loss.

Education Requirements:
A minimum of LLMSW, LLP, LLMFC, or LLPC state licensure (or equivalent state licensure with a Master's degree in a mental health related field)
Essential Job Functions:
Onsite Program:
  • Provides guidance for Ele’s Place families about programming questions and concerns. Identifies and coordinates Ele’s Place families in need of referrals to mental health therapists, protective services, or other outside resources.
  • Provides guidance/support/feedback to facilitators and volunteers. Briefs them about new family updates, procedures, and other announcements. Ensures all program set-up/clean-up work is completed.
  • Coordinates and conducts family intakes and orientations; provides follow-up and referral as needed.
  • Maintains family records, including records of applications sent and received, and ensures that family information on database system is correct and up-to-date.
  • Coordinates group assignments for family members, with assistance from Program Director.
  • Assists callers and visitors with inquiries seeking information, guidance, and/or referrals.
  • Maintains inventory of program supplies and ensures that supplies are procured.
  • Helps to ensure that child safety policies, emergency procedures and building safety policies are followed by all program staff and volunteers.
Off-Site Groups Program (as assigned):
  • With school counselor (or other designated staff at off-site location), co-facilitates the 8-week Ele’s Group session. Maintains contact with counselor and exchanges feedback throughout the session.
  • At the end of the session, debriefs with counselor and ensures program evaluation tools are completed. Provides reports to the School Program Coordinator or Program Director
  • Assists with the ongoing improvement of the program; helps to develop, and update as needed, curriculum plans, evaluation and other materials.
  • Works with principals and school counselors at designated partnering schools, and with appropriate staff at other off-site locations, to schedule and implement off-site groups, and to schedule informational sessions for teachers and other staff.
  • Fulfills one or more of the following specific responsibilities, as assigned:
    • Produces quarterly family bulletin
    • Compiles satisfaction survey results
    • Assists with facilitator training program by presenting one or more topics
    • Plans for and coordinates activity room projects
    • Makes presentations to community groups, teachers, physicians, etc. about Ele’s Place and children’s grief issues
    • Keeps therapist referral list and/or community resources lit up-to-date
    • Coordinates other projects, as assigned
  • Participates in Program Team meetings and works with the staff to ensure applicable strategic plan goals are achieved.
