When a parent, brother, sister, or someone close dies, a child’s world can suddenly feel unfamiliar and isolating. At Ele’s Place—in Ann Arbor, the Capital Region (Lansing), and West Michigan (Grand Rapids)—children, teens, and their caregivers walk into a warm, welcoming circle of peers who truly understand.
During Children’s Grief Awareness Month this November (and on Children’s Grief Awareness Day, Thursday, November 19, 2026), your gift surrounds a grieving child with community, compassion, and hope—and lets you honor someone special in our Connecting Hearts Community Collage.
Underwrites a full day of free peer-to-peer grief support groups, clinical bereavement consultations, and safe community for grieving children, teens, and caregivers at an Ele’s Place branch.
Choose a frame, add their photo, a dedication, their name, a date and a short message. Ele’s Place shares approved frames once your gift is confirmed.
Every gift—whether $50 to supply healing art and memory-making materials for a group room or $250 to support a family’s healing—directly keeps Ele’s Place 100% free of charge for grieving families. Every gift includes a personalized heart in their honor.
