Support Families & Communities

At Ele’s Place, we offer various services designed to support individuals and families in need and resources for professionals supporting families through grief. Each program is tailored to provide compassion and understanding, ensuring that everyone feels valued and heard. Here are the key services we provide to uplift our community.

Ele's Place Support

Parents or guardians of Ele’s Place Children Support Groups

It’s important to be able to support adults in their grief, so they can be more present with their child’s/teen’s grief. Support groups for the parents/guardians of Ele’s Place children/teens are facilitated by Licensed Clinicians.

Weekly In-School Support Groups - Ele's Group

Ele's Group Because not every family can commit to programming in an Ele's Place facility each week, and because sometimes schools are affected more broadly across the student population by the death of a fellow student or teacher, Ele’s Place works in partnership with school counselors to provide 8-week support groups in many area schools. For more information, school administrators please contact our Ele's Group coordinators listed here. Parents interested in a group at their child's school should reach out to the school administration.

Our groups are designed to provide an emotionally safe environment that encourages trust and sharing. Our children and teen groups are facilitated by trained volunteers and overseen by licensed Clinical Program Staff. Adult groups for the primary parent(s)/guardian(s) are led by licensed Clinicians. Peer Support Groups take place during the evening at our three branch locations in Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Grand Rapids.
